Sabah in Borneo

Sabah, known as “Land Below the wind,” is one of the two states that make up Malaysian Borneo. Sabah is more popular — and more expensive — to visit than the neighboring state of Sarawak. Sabah is the gateway to incredible national parks and endangered species in East Borneo.

The capital of Sabah is the busy city of Kota Kinabalu. The capital seems more oriented for shoppers and tour groups, however, KK — as it is known locally — is in a prime location. Close proximity to islands and the incredible Kinabalu National Park in Sabah make the city a gateway to Borneo adventure.
